I live in Dunoon, Argyll and have lived here for 25 years since leaving the Army. After the army I was 13 years with the Coastguard and besides my normal duties I used to to teach Coastguard Rescue Teams map reading and land navigation covering all the teams from the Mull of Galloway to Skye and all the associated islands of the West Coast.
I am now retired and just recently taken up painting again and decided to do paintings of scenery and places of interest that I have taken photos of on my travels and hillwalking around Argyll and other places in Scotland or sent to me by freinds.
Also its my intention to include pastel, acrylic and oil paintings of various subjects
I have no previous art training, and as I progress hope to get better with practice.
